When people think of the human body, they usually don’t think of art. A marvel of science and the physical world, a testament to the power of evolution perhaps, but rarely does art come to mind. However, the human body can be quite artistic.
Body art is art that is created either using the body as a canvas, or using the human body as the artistic element. While it can include tattoos and piercings, it can also involve body paint, shaping/body-modification and much more.
In this post, we’ll look at some intricate and elegant examples of human body art:

Branding is one of the most important parts of establishing the identity for a business. It consists of a logo, business card, stationery, letterhead and other print materials that governs the visual identity and concept for a given brand.
One of the hardest parts of branding is visualizing a concept. It’s possible to think of a variety of ideas for a potential business brand, but actually executing it and seeing how it looks in reality can be far more difficult to achieve.
However, thanks to the magic of Photoshop, it’s possible to create mockups of what the print materials will look like, before even going to a printing company. Now, here’s some templates that you can use to visualize your own branding projects:

Pregnancy is a very special time, but for many people, it’s a private time, and there are plenty of people who find public "displays" of pregnancy to be rather unnerving, similar to how some view breastfeeding. However, pregnancy is also viewed as a blessing and it’s quite common for celebrities and other rich and famous people to show off their so-called "baby bump".
Pregnancy is a 9 month long process for humans, and during that time, the woman’s body changes and she develops an increasingly noticeable bump as she carries the developing child. Every woman is different, as some gain significant weight along with the baby, while others maintain a relatively lean physique and quickly return to normal after birth.
There are plenty of ways to celebrate pregnancy and show off, and here’s some of the more creative ways I’ve seen:

Email marketing is still one of the most effective ways to generate traffic and sales for any business, website or product. When you build an email list of people interested in a given product, service or niche, they are most likely to be interested in what you have to say.
While most people use email marketing for sales purposes, email newsletters are also becoming popular ways to share content and information, beyond what can be posted on a blog or website.
One of the biggest components of successful email marketing is the email templates that you use. Having a well designed and optimized template will drastically improve results, and I’ve gathered up some of my favorites here:
Elena Template
Flat Template
Emailz Template
HTML & PSD Email Template
Display Email Template
Boxi Template

Todays textures are from an old shed down by the sea, that’s been subjected to harsh weather conditions for years. The once painted wooden panel surface has become worn, dark and gloomy, perfect for texturelovers like us.

When most people think of flour, they think of baking or cooking. Flour is a powder created from grinding foodstuffs until it is a fine, consistent powder. Flour is one of the most important ingredients in cooking, and is used in everything from breads and pastries to cheese sauces and crackers.
Flour has some other interesting properties, due to its ability to spread out in the air as a fine powder. In fact, the ability of flour dust to be suspended in the air makes it explosive and flammable in certain circumstances.
Flour can be used in photography to create various effects that range from smokey to misty, as well as a thematic element:

CSS3 is one of the greatest advancements the web has made in terms of the ability to create advanced websites that function better and load faster. Rather than have to use images or Flash animation, CSS3 allows you to create a variety of designs, transitions, effects and more, all through just CSS3 (and sometimes a little jQuery) markup.
Learning CSS3 can be a bit tricky, as there are a lot of different selectors and browser-specific implementations, and many tutorials cover the basics without leading to a useful end result.
In this post, I’ve selected some awesome new CSS3 tutorials that both teach you about CSS3, and lead to a valuable end result that is similar to what you’ll probably be creating for your own projects:

Todays set of textures are pretty abstract and amazing. One one of my recent "texture hunt walks" I spotted a small field of old dead long grass or straws by the sea. I became fascinated by the details and abstractness and must have shot over 50 photos like the ones below (expect Vol. 2 soon). I hope you can find some good use for them, enjoy!

Most of us view insects as at best, something to ignore, and usually as a pest or something that should be killed. Insects frequently are parasitic (such as bed bugs), or transmit disease (such as mosquitoes or flies), or destroy crops, and are viewed negatively around the world.
However, insects act in many beneficial roles, such as through pollination of plants, and keeping the population of other insects and animals in check, and also acting as food sources for animals such as birds.
Insects are some of the most diverse animals on the planet and consist of over 50% of known living organisms with over a million different species. This diversity leads to different shapes, sizes, colors and behaviors. However, many insects are green, to help them blend into leaves and other vegetation, and this bright green color definitely stands out in photographs:
