In a previous post, I wrote about the intricate beauty and possibilities for abstract art in the simple leaf. Leaves have a delicate and subtle beauty to them. One of the great things about leaves is that they come in all different shapes, sizes and colors. Some leaves are large, others are small, and even during the course of a year, leaves have multiple size changes and color changes depending on the type of leaf and the season of the year. Leaves are great for photographers, because of the way they absorb and diffuse light, and the fact that they are capable of some motion due to wind, but are otherwise stationary and easy to photograph: Golden Light By Joni Niemelä Pliable By Shihya Kowatari Real raindrop not glycerine drop By Mehmet Mesart Solitude By Jan Vojtek Orange Crush By Niko Vass Une Feuille d’Automne By Taeki M Solo By Marius Popescu Eyes Can’t Tell Us By Marc Adamus dreamland By Peter Sziky - Peet The woman By John Andreas Olsson Leaf By Codrin Lupei Leaf By BogdanBoev "The 3 Brothers" on their way to Christmas By Moni Too late By Muhammad AlMuhammady Leave By Paul van Geldrop Autumn Ethereal By Alexandre Deschaumes Winds of Summer By Alex Greenshpun Precious texture By Julia Wimmerlin Simply autumn By Martineb oak leaf detail By Gale Rainwater RainyI want to see that ! So many new websites and web startups these days are web applications. With much of the computing world moving to cloud computing, no longer are users installing software on their computers, instead, they’re using web services to do things like word processing, financial record keeping and other common tasks. Creating web apps is a long process, from the concept creation to the design and the development. Many of the same elements will be used throughout the project, so it’s often helpful to have a UI kit to use when concepting or designing. Here, I’ve gathered up some great UI kits for designing and concepting dashboards, which are one of the most common parts of web apps: Flat dashboard. Todays set of textures are from an old abandoned building where the windows have been nailed shut and the walls are pretty worn down. I figured these could be used as backgrounds, or even as a part of a design to create a vintage effect. Enjoy the textures! Fashion is actually surprisingly hard to define. Broadly, fashion is the selection of clothing, footwear, makeup, accessories and jewelry in order to look attractive. However, what specifically is fashionable and isn’t fashionable is subjective to personal taste. Certainly, there are some fashion design houses that lead the way in determining what is or isn’t fashionable. And fashion does have a habit of coming and going, such as bow-ties, plaid patterns, and colors, and changing over time. However, the key to fashion tends to be (more often than not) confidence. The ability to wear an outfit proudly, have it flatter a person’s appearance and draw the proper amount and type of attention from others. Fashion photography attempts to capture this statement, using additional lighting and artistic elements: V. A . Engagement is one of the biggest events in a couple’s romantic life. When people enter a relationship, they usually hope it will lead to engagement, and then a wedding with a happy marriage and a family. Engagement is often considered the first big commitment, a promise to be married in the future. Engagement traditions vary by region, but the most well known tradition is the man dropping to a knee, and presenting his hopeful fiancee with an engagement ring and asking for her hand in marriage. These days, it’s really common to want to capture the moment in photographs, and take a series of post-engagement photographs to celebrate, and here’s some great examples: Proposal by Kevin Warn Photography Proposal by Chris Emeott Untitled Ashton and Liz Engaged by Haley Sheffield Outdoorsy Shoot by Jackie Willard Engagement Photo by Natasha Uspensky Christina and Kevin by eePhotography Hannah and Sean: Engaged by Jason+Gina Untitled by Jose Villa Untitled by Galveston Engagement Photography Related Posts The Best Free Minimal Tumblr Themes Valentine’s Day Heart Photography Free Dashboard UI Kits and Elements PSDs Free Texture Friday - Vintage Paper 7 Free Texture Friday - Rust and Stone

Beaches have a special place in the hearts of many people. They are synonymous with vacation, rest, relaxation, warmth, sun and refreshment, because they are often popular vacation spots in sunny locations surrounded by palm trees. Beaches are areas of land along the shore of a body of water, and can consist of rocks, sand, gravel, shells and sometimes dirt. Depending on their location, they are frequently tourist destinations, such as beaches in tropical locations or near major cities such as New York City. Beaches are great places to take photographs, because of the contrast between the water and the beach, the life (both human and nonhuman) that surrounds beach areas, and the different moods that can be captured: Beached Bus … By Yvette Depaepe *My* Beach By Dennis Hansen Hvítserkur By Bragi Ingibergsson - BRIN Christiane affronting the storm By Yvette Depaepe Sky Hook By Karsten Wrobel Coffee Rocks By Mel Brackstone Cannon Beach By Martin Rak Champagne Dusk By Karsten Wrobel Mountains and Beach By Xavier Wiechers Teddy Blue By Marko Mastosaari beachball By Danny Block The Return By Jonathan Danker Connected By Christian Wig La bahía. / The bay. Railroads are one of the primary modes of transportation used around the world, both for goods as well as for people. With the development of the steam engine, railroads exploded in use in both Europe and the United States, before spreading around the world, and then experiencing a decline. However, railroads are seeing a resurgence around the world, particularly in Asia, with the development of high speed rail. Railroads do have some unique challenges though, as they require track to be laid over a wide area, which leaves a noticeable mark on the environment, and they also produce significant noise, which many homeowners object to having nearby. For photographers though, the contrast between the natural and the man-made can be quite dramatic: Railway to Heaven By Pedro Quintela going to school By asit Railroad bridge By Ryusuke Komori endless By SEO Twilight Zone By Fredrik Marklund Life Is Short By Andrea Auf dem Brinke Railroad Spike By Chad Hasty Railroad in fog By Göran Erlandsson Tracks By Søren S.
