Today I’m giving away a set of grunge overlay textures that you can use to spice up your photographs. How, you ask? You simply open them up in Photoshop and drag them into your document (place it above the photo) and set the layer mode to Screen or Overlay, for example. Play around with opacity and layer effects, and you’ll have a great looking vintage photo. Enjoy! Download all textures as ZIP from copy.com (28Mb) Did you like these textures? Black and white photos are a tricky thing for many photographers. It’s easy to come across as an amateur photographer attempting to look "edgy", or for your photos to look straight out of the 1920′s. But black and white photography does have a place in almost every photographer’s arsenal for a variety of reasons. While colored images provide a greater range of shade, black and white photography has an essential subdued feeling that can work perfectly in a variety of situations, particularly in portraits. It also has a nostalgic feeling, which can create a feeling of memory or remembrance, and it can also create an incredible stark contrast between the solid blacks and the pure white. With the advent of dSLRs, it’s most popular for photographers to take a photograph in color and later convert it to black and white, but often, the best results are when the subject is photographed in black and white, as it allows the photographer to see without having to do a digital conversion. The results, particularly in portraits, can be quite stunning: goodnight lovers By Julia Borodina Untitled By Michael Tonsberg *** ByDmitriy Pokrovskiy *** By Ann Nevreva Black By Oren Hayman Now you see me By Tomer Jacobson F l o w By Fadi Tarawneh Speechless By Arash Karimi small Chadna By Robert the widower By Piet Flour sensual by zieniu By Tomasz Zienkiewicz Solange By Vanessa Madec Nadya By Sean Archer Why Do You Love Me? One of the most crucial aspects for modern websites, particularly those that are user-centric, are login and signup forms. Aside from advertising revenues or product sales, one of the largest values of a website is how many users they have, and how many users are active. Getting signups on a new website is not as easy as it sounds, however. There are many obstacles to getting new user signups, and even once a user signs up, you also have to get them to visit and log in regularly. Having an attractive signup and login form can help alleviate user concerns about privacy and security, as a professional-looking design also usually signals professional security and code. A boudoir is technically a woman’s bedroom or dressing room. In historical times, it was a separate room attached to the bedroom where a woman would get dressed. It later evolved into a place for a woman to be romantic with her partner as well. The concept of a boudoir has always had sexual and sensual overtones to it, and although the term is no longer widely used to describe rooms, it has become a common way to describe a specific photography subject. Boudoir photography typically consists of suggestive, although not explicit photographs of women in a variety of different clothing styles ranging from semi-nude to lingerie. Flat design is one of the trendy types of design that is popping up all over the place lately, from print design to web design and beyond. There is something simplistic and appealing about flat deisgn, but just because the design is flat, doesn’t mean that it is lifeless or lacking. Flat design is simplistic, but that isn’t to say that it is easy to do. In fact, flat and minimal design can often be some of the most challenging design to do, because there simply isn’t as much to work with. Flat icons are one of the best ways to add flat elements to your design, and they tend to be more appealing than super gaudy and 3D icons. Eye color is one of the most notable attributes that seem to define a person’s appearance (along with hair color and face shape), and it’s largely determined by genetics through inheritance. Eye color is determined by a combination of the pigmentation of the iris, and the scattering of light in the turbid medium in the iris. Certain eye colors are viewed as more desirable than others, and it’s largely determined by culture and rarity. In mammals, blue eyes specifically are quite rare, although certain regions of the world are predominantly blue-eyed for human eye color. Blue eyes can seem grayish, greenish or even brownish under certain lighting circumstances, as there is no blue pigmentation in the eye itself, it’s due to light scattering that the blue color is created. Blue eyes have a clear, crisp and refreshing feel to them, and it’s something that photographers love to capture: Oceans By Mareike-Tordis Puhl Soul Mirror By Thorbjørn Fessel chiara By Daniela foghis Smokey By Dmitry Elizarov Secret Garden By Margarita Babenosheva Sara By Tomek Dyczewski Winter’s Beauty By Radu Carnaru Sylwia By Jaroslaw Saternus Alexandra By Arnold Eszenyi Winter BlueEyes By Victor Kostiuk Up By Ben Torode Just look at me By Vicoolya & Saida blue-eyed girl By Ville Hyytinen Mafia By Dyno KRYSIS The Color of Contrast By Joel Santos Tina By Vedran Vidak Naturally curly By jude balari BlueEyes By Magda Berny K By Magda Berny Azure By Karina Chernova Blue eyes By Pavel Lepeshev Behind Blue Eyes By Imantas Boiko *** By Jovana Rikalo 7 months for Henri By Marie Piki By Yannis Karantonis Frozen By Ryan Pendleton BlueEyes By Brian Ingram Just a little business girl By John Wilhelm *** By Ann Nevreva Related Posts The Art of Flour Windows: More than Just an Opening in Photography Crystal Clear Glass Photography Photographers at Work in Pictures 10 New Years Celebration Photographs
