We often hear from learners that “people don’t seem to think anymore or they don’t go the extra mile.” What are we doing about it?

One principle we espouse in Microlearning is to nurture and provide workers the ability to get answers and solutions fast, easy and with the lowest in effort. The extreme accessibility of Microlearning answers and solutions facilitates the ability of workers to quickly do problem-solving and decision-making. An environment of Microlearning enables the workers to respond quickly and apply solutions to fix, solve and improve work issues. This ability is important, as John Hagel III proposes, because businesses and the nature of work today is faster in velocity and rapid change presents uncertainties. During these unsure instances, we want learners to think for themselves and use Microlearning answers and solutions quickly.

  • Capability to create and share reliable answers
  • Keep a bigger picture orientation, versus siloed and myopic views
  • Learning outside of one’s own narrow experience and expertise
  • Faster creative problem-solving
