Description
Typical workplace learning content makes it more difficult to learn, remember, and apply. Content that overloads memory. Writing that makes it hard to understand intended messages. Design that is confusing and hard to follow. Too few activities that we know are needed to promote application on the job.
Designing for memory means intentionally making it easier to learn, remember, and apply! Here’s the (very) good news. Research offers instructional, writing, usability, and information design principles that show us how to make instruction work better on-the-job use.
In this session, we'll discuss the learning tactics research show are helpful for remembering and applying. In this session, participants will apply research-driven and actionable tactics that helps us:
