Bill Brewer will introduce participants to the basic concepts underlying Peter Block’s highly successful Flawless Consulting workshops. The principles are simple and practical.

These workshops, continually updated and enhanced by Peter Block and the basis for his best-selling book Flawless Consulting: A Guide to Getting Your Expertise Used, teach staff professionals the competencies to successfully navigate the consulting relationship in situations where they have influence but no direct control.

About Bill Brewer

Bill Brewer, Designed Learning’s director of client relations, has worked with Peter Block for over 20 years. He has held a variety of staff positions in marketing, public relations, sales, training, instructional design and delivery for various companies including Scripps Howard, Cincom Systems, and the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce. Before joining Designed Learning, Bill was with the Association for Quality and Participation for close to ten years. While there, he was involved in the School for Managing and Leading Change, served as editor of “News for a Change” and “The Journal for Quality and Participation” and was actively involved in the planning and delivery of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award’s Quest for Excellence.

Bill is a clinical professor teaching consulting skills and strategic communications in the Department of Media/Journalism and Film at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio as well. He received a B.A. from OtterbeinCollege and his M.A. from MiamiUniversity. His work with clients includes Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New Jersey, NCR, Community Resource Exchange, Cleveland Clinic, Novartis, Lexis-Nexis, National City Corp, Health Canada, Ontario Ministry of Health, HP, United Health Group, Council on Rural Services, eFunds, State Farm Insurance, Research in Motion and Liveperson among many others.

Bill is former chair of the Oxford, Ohio Planning Commission, former chair of the Oxford Historic and Architectural Preservation Commission, founder of the 25 year old, Oxford Area Community Theatre. In his spare time, Bill is an avid reader, a tournament bridge player and gardener.

Bill is an energetic and engaging presenter. As such, he has served as a major and keynote speaker for numerous regional and national conferences. He works to create highly interactive learning experiences that allow participants to develop their personal and professional skills.
