Speaker: Shelley Robbins

Dr. Shelley Robbins is the Senior Faculty for Masters Programs in Business, leading Capella University’s  MBA, MS in HRM programs, and MS in Leadership programs  She has held leadership positions at Capella University, the University of Minnesota, Coopers & Lybrand, KPMG and Anlon Systems. She has also served on the faculty of Northwestern University, the University of St. Thomas, the University of Minnesota, and the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee.  Dr. Robbins holds a Ph.D. in Strategy and Organizational Behavior from Northwestern University, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a BS in Psychology from the University of Illinois.  Her areas of expertise include strategic Human Resource management, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, leadership coaching, and change management.

She has published and has presented papers at national and international Conferences, including the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society, the O.D. Network,  the American Society for Training and Development, the International Leadership Association,  and the Society for Human Resources Management. She has also served on the editorial board for the Journal of Management and Entrepreneurship, and on the HR.Com advisory board for Technology Enabled Learning.
 
Dr. Robbins was a recipient of the Twin Cities Business Journal’s Women Changemakers award in 2004, which is given annually to women who spearhead initiatives and make decisions that have changed their businesses, industries or community. She lives in North Oaks, MN with her husband and daughter.
