Sydney Heimbrock is executive director of the Innovation Lab at the US Office of Personnel Management, as well as a project fellow at Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford ( d.school ). She is a public-sector innovator, helping make government a workplace that unlocks creativity to solve the complex problems facing our nation. Sydney leads the Innovation Lab, where they teach human-centered design through workshops and immersion projects with federal leaders and professionals. 

Sydney also leads the Presidential Management Fellows program, which strives to bring the highest-caliber graduate students to lead in the federal government. She is dean of OPM's HR University, the federal government's one-stop resource for training and education on people management in the federal environment.
