Is there a "best" culture? Most scholars would say "no" because it depends on what you're trying to do. Michael Lee Stallard discovered this is only partially true. No doubt cultures differ depending upon tasks. For example, engineering-oriented cultures differ from sales-oriented cultures. When it comes to relationships, however, new scientific evidence shows that cultures which connect people are superior to cultures that isolate people and unfortunately, cultures of connection are rare.
We've all heard a great deal about the impact we have on our planet, with the UN's 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) giving some guidance on this. So how can we help learners connect with why they're important and how they're interconnected and what we can do about them?
