About Sally Hovis

Sally Hovis joined SkillSoft in February of 1998 and is a founding member of SkillSoft’s management team. Sally is responsible for the instructional design model used in SkillSoft’s web-based courseware and, in collaboration with Software Development, Visual Design and Marketing, for its translation into specifications for content development tools and content playback environments. Recently she's focused on helping design and develop SkillSoft's Leadership Advantage product, a series of Blended Learning Resources for incorporation into a subset of the business skills content, and R&D on the possibilities for next generation courseware. Her career includes senior level instructional design positions with M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, NETg, and Motorola, Inc, and several honors: Best of Show for the skin cancer prevention curriculum Project S.A.F.E.T.Y. for Middle School Science, 1st Place from the Pediatric Division of American Journal of Nursing Medical Festival for the video We Can Do It, and a letter of commendation from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education for the workbook Preparing Objectives for CME Activities.
