Description
Gamification can turn an everyday eLearning experience into something learners are more motivated to explore, complete, and remember. But effective gamification is about more than adding points, badges, or a leaderboard. It’s about using game elements with a clear learning purpose.
In this introductory webinar, we’ll explore the fundamentals of gamification and show instructional designers how to incorporate challenges, rewards, progress, choices, and feedback into their courses. Through practical examples, you’ll discover simple ways to make learning more interactive and motivating—without having to design a full-fledged game.

By the end of the webinar, you will be able to:
- Understand the basics of gamification and how it can support learner motivation and participation.
- Recognize common game elements such as points, badges, levels, challenges, rewards, progress indicators, and choices.
- Match game elements to learning objectives rather than adding them simply for entertainment.
- Create meaningful challenges that encourage learners to think, practice, and apply their knowledge.
- Use progress and rewards effectively to motivate learners and provide a sense of accomplishment.
- Incorporate feedback into gamified experiences to reinforce learning and help learners improve.
- Avoid common gamification pitfalls, such as overusing competition or rewarding clicks instead of learning.
