Description
Most AI training programs focus on awareness, prompting, and productivity hacks. But organizations are quickly discovering that knowing how AI works doesn’t automatically improve performance, decision-making, or business outcomes.
In this thought-provoking session, Karl Kapp, Professor at Commonwealth University, explores what comes next: how learning teams can help employees develop judgment, operational fluency, and the human skills AI can’t replace. As AI becomes increasingly capable of prediction and information generation, the real differentiator will be a workforce that knows how to interpret, apply, question, and act on AI-driven insights.
Karl will discuss why the future of Learning & Development is shifting away from passive content delivery toward simulation, coaching, roleplay, and real-world performance practice. You’ll learn how leading organizations are using AI-enabled learning experiences to strengthen decision-making, reinforce behavior change, and create more adaptive, capable teams.
This session will challenge traditional thinking about training and offer a practical roadmap for building a workforce that can thrive alongside AI, not compete with it.

This session will challenge traditional thinking about training and offer a practical roadmap for building a workforce that can thrive alongside AI, not compete with it.
In this session, you will learn:
- Why AI literacy alone won’t create meaningful behavior change or business impact
- How AI is transforming L&D from content delivery to simulation, coaching, and performance enablement
- Why human judgment, intuition, and decision-making are becoming more valuable in an AI-powered workplace
- Practical strategies for embedding AI learning into real workflows to build confidence, adaptability, and operational fluency at scale
