Description
Have you ever stared at a blank PowerPoint slide, unsure about how to start a new presentation? Have you ever looked at a first draft in frustration, knowing it could be better—but not sure how to get there? Subject-matter expertise isn’t always enough. Deep knowledge and good intentions don’t always result in great content.
If you start a learning design project by asking yourself questions such as “What do I want people to know?,” “What do I want my slides to say?,” and “What question should I ask?,” you could end up with content-focused training that is full of information but causes your learners to wonder how they’ll get that hour of their life back! But if you change the questions you ask yourself, you can revolutionize the way you train.
In this session, you’ll learn about three questions you can ask to guide your session design. These simple questions can help you focus less on facts, information, and expertise and more about our learners and what they want from you.
