Description

You have a training program that you’ve delivered to hundreds of employees what seems like thousands of times, and it works to perfection. It seems like it would be easy to convert it to an e-learning course–but then you realize that only about 30% of the content is in the materials, and the rest is in the instructors’ minds. How do you get it out? Then, as you talk to the SMEs, you realize that everyone has a different way of teaching the material, and that no two people agree on some of the primary teaching points.

In this session, you’ll hear different case studies that illustrate some of the unexpected difficulties in converting ILT to e-learning. You’ll take away a five-step model and valuable checklists that will help you understand the risks and challenges up front. The model outlines the process and provides tools to assist with successfully analyzing, managing, and leading an e-learning conversion project. At the end of the session, you will feel confident you can plan risks associated with this type of project and outline mitigation strategies.
