Description

AI tools are transforming how we interact, learn, and collaborate, and one question looms large: Do learners prefer human connection or AI-driven efficiency? Neuroscience offers a unique lens to answer this, showing how the brain responds differently to human facilitators versus AI agents.

In this session, Dr. Carmen Simon shares fresh research on the key differences between humans and AI, revealing what each approach gets right (and wrong) when it comes to creating impactful learning experiences.

Why does this matter? Learner experience is one of the biggest differentiators in corporate training and employee development today. Modern learning platforms improve the learning experience by using AI to personalize content for each learner. They combine online and offline learning smoothly. New smart tools, called Agentic tools, are shaping the future by making learning more conversational and human-like.

Understanding the human vs. AI dynamic is crucial for designing effective programs. Through brain-based insights, you'll learn how factors like attention, memory, motivation, cognitive workload, and even humor impact learning outcomes.

Join this session with Dr. Carmen Simon and Justin Seeley to learn:
  • The distinct advantages and challenges of AI- and human-led learning interactions
  • How humor and other human traits influence learner engagement—and whether AI can replicate them effectively
  • Practical strategies to design better learning experiences by merging the advantages of both humans and AI
  • The role of personalization in learner experience (it may not be what you think)

This session will challenge your assumptions, reveal surprising findings, and leave you with actionable ideas for impacting the future of learning where humans and AI collaborate.
