Description

The biggest impediment to productive change is the problem of self-deception. Today, organizations are seeking leaders who are instead radically self-aware. In fact, research conducted by the Harvard Business Review shows that self-awareness can be more helpful to leaders than an MBA. Rather than cultivating self-awareness, however, most leaders fall into the trap of self-deception, harming their own leadership and their organization’s performance.

Join us in this webinar to learn how to save leaders from this self-deception trap. We’ll start by exploring self-deception and how it obscures the truth about ourselves, corrupts our view of others and our circumstances, and inhibits our ability to make good decisions. We’ll then share that the surprising antidote to self-deception isn’t just self-awareness but awareness of others by seeing them as people.

Job Applications/Learning Objectives:
  • Identify when and why you fall into self-deception
  • Become self-aware by becoming ‘others-aware’ through an outward mindset
  • Apply an outward mindset toward others, including managers, peers, reports, and customers
  • Apply outward mindset tools and frameworks to prevent toxic environments and instead encourage collaboration and better performance
