LMS, LXP, LCMS, SCORM, xAPI, AI, AR/VR, vILT… the Learning and Development space certainly has plenty of technology acronyms! The same for concepts to consider and prioritize: virtual, hybrid, social, mobile, coaching, mentoring, micro, authoring, translation, curation, recommendation, search, personalization, evaluation, assessment, compliance, adaptive, reinforcement, gamification, reporting, performance support, learning journey, and more!

To gather fresh data on this head-spinning landscape, the Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp) recently conducted a study of Learning and Development technologies. The study focused on a broad range of L&D technology categories and vendors, with key findings including user satisfaction levels, critical feature and priority considerations, barriers and challenges, and more.
