While our world is now fully global, most educational institutions are failing us drastically when it comes to preparing employees to work across cultures. While most jobs nowadays require some type of across the border interaction, too few employees are appropriately prepared to avoid the cross-cultural land mines that lay within the international arena. Through this session, participants will learn how to:

About Valerie Berset-Price
As a dual citizen of Switzerland and the United States, Mrs. Berset-Price is an experienced international troubleshooter, cross-cultural communication expert, trainer and coach. What to her is obvious is too often hidden from most of us, which has allowed her to build a solid reputation amid large multinationals as someone who provides the right tools to get the complex conversation going across cultures, yielding lasting results for all involved.
Mrs. Berset-Price has lectured at the University of San Diego School of Business Administration’s Master of Sciences in Global Leadership. She has been the Guest of Honor at the Fall’s Lectureship of Oklahoma State University and a guest speaker at the World Customs Organization, the U.S. Embassy of Santiago, and the Intel Conference, among many other venues. Mrs. Berset-Price hosts a column in the Business Section of the Huffington Post and the Vancouver Business Journal. She is also a frequent contributor to Training Magazine. She is a graduate of Swiss International Business School and of the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
