Description

In this session, Dr. Allen Partridge, Head of Evangelism, Adobe Digital Learning Solutions, will discuss one of the most useful things that Learning & Development Leadership can do to optimize training experiences is organizing common learning experiences.

This introduction to the concepts and methods behind learning pathways, learning programs, curricula or other sets of common / related training will explore how programs can be easily assigned or revealed to people in the organization who are most likely to benefit from the collected training materials. These often appear in corporate training as 30-60-90 day on-boarding curriculum, or as topically aligned training across product knowledge, sales process or other sets of courses.

The process of aligning such training to the right personnel in an organization can be varied, and often becomes an important part of estimating the volume of work your Learning and Development team will need to complete each learning path or program. Once the analysis and planning are complete, the challenge of automating those learning paths for the appropriate employees and making the curriculum available either automatically, or optionally further complicates the process.

During this session, the attendees will learn how to:
  • What are the fundamental requirements for building effective learning programs?
  • How does a Learning Path compare to a Learning Program?
  • When is it advantageous to provide a learning program, vs. related courses in a catalog?
  • How can automated enrollment in learning programs simplify the administration of training in your organization?
  • How do you know what triggers should / may be used to enroll learners in programs?
