Description

The challenge to deliver good quality training to an increasingly geographically dispersed workforce is growing. At the same time, training departments are being asked to do more with less, so outsourcing training or purchasing off-the-shelf programs seems appealing. How do you straddle these seemingly conflicting goals?

This session will provide specific questions to ask and considerations to make when selecting outsourced and off-the-shelf training. Tactics for building an effective four levels training evaluation plan for outside training content will be explained. Armed with this information, you will be able to integrate outsourced training into a training and evaluation plan that works for your organization.

You will also receive a job aid and supplementary materials to assist you in applying these ideas in your work.

Objectives

After this session, you will:

  • Know what questions to ask outsourced training providers
  • Understand how to integrate off-the-shelf training into an effective training and evaluation plan
  • See how to maximize training outcomes while minimizing the training budget
