Monster Math 2 is the excellent new iOS game by Makkaji. Like the first game, this game is designed for grades K-5 and is aligned to Common Core Standards. It follows the familiar platform style game play where students solve Math equations (i.e. subtraction, addition, etc) while defeating monsters and unlocking 4 different magical lands. Also, Monster Math tracks students progress, generates detailed reports, and allows users to choose which areas they want to focus on.I highly recommend checking out Monster Math 2 by clicking here!!!Below is a brief video...

AR Flashcards Addition is the new innovative way for students to work on their addition skills on their mobile iOS devices. The way this works is a user goes to the AR Flashcard website prints out the free flashcard, and then points their iOS device at the card to render beautiful 3D numbers and animals to form an equation. A student can then solve the equation w/in the app and even take timed quizzes.I highly recommend checking out AR Flashcards Addition by clicking here!!!

Sketch Nation is a wonderful free app (iOS/Android) and website for creating games. Sketch Nation reminds me of Pixel Press Floors but w/out the paper. All a student has to do is select their category of game (i.e. platform, jumping, etc) then draw their backgrounds/characters/items and let Sketch Nation do the rest. The advanced level editor will help students create more complex games and work on their STEM skills. Sketch Nation even has a nice section for education w/ a collection of games created by students.I highly recommend checking out Sketch Nation by clicking here!!!Below is a brief demo...For my Pinterest board on Programing/Coding click here.*Sketch Nation is an advertiser of Technology Tidbits.

Story Monster is a fun site for digital storytelling that I just found out about from the great blogger, The Book Chook. Story Monster is a fun site where a student can create a monster from scratch and then create a digital story. However, there is a twist that in Story Monster a student plays a game by having their monster fly around and chomp on different parts of a sentence to form their story (i.e. noun, verb, adjective, etc.).I highly recommend checking out Story Monster by clicking here!!!
