Session Description:

eLearning specialists and leaders are shy to admit that we learn a lot more from our errors and omissions than from our well-intended plans. Our failings are humorous, ridiculous, and stupid - but we profit a lot from them.

In this session, Ray Jimenez will share his 10 most bungled up elearning implementations - horror stories that after resolution breathed life and improved the eLearning programs and systems. Ray will share specific cases and real-life events from his 15 years implementing elearning projects.

The experiences and real-life cases help participants take a closer peak on implementation issues and how to avoid them.

Topics to be Covered:

  • Why pay $1 million while others pay for $100,000 or less for elearning projects?
  • How instructional designers have no place in eLearning?
  • Leaders don't resist elearning, they just don't get bonuses from it
  • Starting with clear vision of the project, end in confusion
  • All software are rigid, fixed and inflexible and dinosaurs the day you purchase them
  • Nine out of ten elearning projects are aborted
  • and more examples and cases
