Session Description

Many organizations have substantial libraries of instructor-led courses that they would like to make available in an online format. While the key instructional design skills are the same, the tools and processes for developing e-learning may be unfamiliar to content developers accustomed to developing ILTs.

This presentation will discuss the key differences in the design approach between ILT and e-learning. It will also provide insight into the e-learning development process. What roles are required? How do you estimate development time and cost? What are the trade-offs between different types of development tools? What new tools (such as storyboards, testing scripts, etc.) are required?
If you are new to e-learning development, this session will give you a head start.
