Description

How can we achieve the same ROH (Return on Happiness) that other organizations experience?

Research featured in Harvard Business Review show improvements in happiness and well being associated with positive outcomes in employee engagement (up to 10x more engaged) and higher levels of sales (37% average increase across multiple studies).  Social support was shown to improve not only levels of employee satisfaction – but also lead to improvements in customer loyalty and industry service metrics.

We have learned that re-training our brains to become more positive, more adaptive and more resilient in order to gain a competitive advantage at work is not only possible, it is essential in rapidly changing environments.

While there are many exciting possibilities on the horizon to assist organizations in creating a new, happy culture for their employees, the most promising approach is to focus in on how we do business each day. By targeting our most important work routines and embedding more positivity into them, we move beyond “talking about happiness” and into making it a generative, powerful force at work.

In this third of a 3-part webinar series on The Happiness Advantage at Work, Devin Hughes, Chief Inspiration Officer at International Thought Leader Network (training and research partner with Harvard happiness researcher and internationally best-selling author Shawn Achor), talks to Carol Dodds, Vice President of Advertising and Partnerships, and Michelle Peterson, Vice President of Membership Marketing at Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, about the daily practices and work routines necessary for organizations and their managers to lead positive change.

You’ll learn:

  • The leader’s role in defining happiness as a business strategy
  • What visible actions can be taken can successfully address damaging social scripts and the re-writing of new one’s aligned with positive work environments and business outcomes
  • How to embed individual and organizational work routines with positive practices to create positive emotional experiences at work
  • How to create space, structure and necessary time commitments for happiness to live, especially for new teams
